POSITION: System Analyst / Network Administrator
LOCATION: Abuja
The System Analyst / Network Administrator role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments

The Job:
The appointee will be required to ensure the successful operation of SOI Consulting's and/or it's clients Network and Server infrastructure through administration and maintenance to meet agreed service levels as well as satisfy the business requirements with particular focus on user needs.

Specific Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
--Assist in planning, design, development of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
--Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
--Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software interfaces with the operating system
Acquisition & Deployment
-- Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
-- Create system and network designs  and proposals
-- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
-- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration
-- Install and maintain the office backup system
--Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems
-- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processes, stored, or accessed by the network
--Operation and Maintenance of Wireless, Wired and IP networks
-- Administration, provisioning, Operation and Maintenance of Core Network Elements
-- Document all work using appropriate standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate
-- Prepare or contribute to project and quality plans taking account of the requirements for functionality versus the constants of time, cost and quality
-- Give technical leadership to small teams, planning, estimating, controlling, and reporting on work performed accurately and effectively in order to achieve targets.
-- Carry out full impact analysis of new software releases and recommend upgrade plans.
-- Investigate potential and actual service problems and recommend solutions.   
--Develop and use formal procedures to plan and test proposed solutions.
--Develop and use procedures for collection of critical information in the event of system failure.
-- Analyse documentation, storage dumps, and logs relating to system failures to identify the failing component.
-- Isolate failures and recommends actions to circumvent problems and enable the restoration of services with minimum business impact
-- Liaise with vendors to obtain corrective solutions (e.g firmware or code), installing and testing the corrective solution to ensure a permanent resolution.
--Monitor system efficiency against published service level agreements. Monitor both resource usage and failure rates of installed systems and provide detailed feedback to management

Qualifications:
-- University degree in the field of computer science, information science, MIS, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and/or 3-5 years related networking experience
-- MCSE 2003/2008, CCNA, CCNP, iDirekt Technologies
-- Background in Cisco devices and commands
-- Familiarity in the fundamentals of ISP Data & VoIP Switching and Equipment. Possess a thorough understanding of ISP networking technologies
-- proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of Software and Hardware solutions, systems, or products.
-- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Win XP, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2003 & 2008
-- Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, IPV6, VoIP etc
--Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 and Vista Suite
-- Ability to work under and cope with pressure without unduly comprising delivery
-- Applicants should be open to learning new skills and technology
-- Must be skilled in reading and drawing technical drawings and the use of Visio and Microsoft Project

Further Details for Web / Application Developer
--Strong Knowledge of HTML, PHP, Java, Joomla, & or .Net

-- Must be prepared for frequent travels as the job dictates, & will play a huge role in organizing the M.D's itinerary, task, meeting's etc.
-- Strong Command of Written & Oral English.
-- Ability to respond to M.D's official Communications, take notes and Manage Logistics of the M.D's office
-- Must be smart in appearance & comport, result oriented, & able to take initiative.
-- At least 3 years working experience in a similar position
-- Minimum of Bachelor's degree or H.ND with Second Class Honors
-- Ideally based in Abuja

4. Further Details for Accountant
-- Graduate of Accounting or related field with Minimum Second Class Honors from a reputable University
--Minimum 4 years on the job Working Experience with verifiable References
-- Strong Knowledge of Accounting Software's such as QuickBooks, PeachTree, etc
--Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 2007 and Vista Suite
-- Must be a lady not more than 40 years of age with ability to work under and cope with pressure without unduly comprising delivery
--ICAN Certification or similar will be an added advantage
