Supreme court has finally given its verdict as to whether Wisconsin can hold election today or not. Consequently, Wisconsin will be holding election today. This ruling encouraged Republicans who were not happy with ruling of a lower court few weeks back.

Primary elections scheduled for this month have been postponed in several places in United State due to the pandemic, but Wisconsin deem it fit to hold its own election when there are still over 2,500 cases of coronavirus in its environ.

The decision will make Wisconsin an example for others who are still questioning the voting right amidst the pandemic.

Surprisingly, most volunteers for the election quit, but National Guard Troop in support of the court verdict is happy to take over the volunteering work of managing polls.

The election commission has been working on the best procedures and measures to put in place so as to limit the spread of the virus during this trying time. People are expected to sanitize their hands before voting. More so, the number of people at each poll will be limited.

In addition, the court mandated Wisconsin election officials not to count the result of the election until after a week in order to avert chaos and confusion.

One of the presidential candidates, Bernie Sanders expressed his displeasure over court ruling. He insisted that the election, at this point in time, is dangerous. Joe Biden's thought was quite different as he stated as long as the stipulated guidelines on social distancing are being followed, election can take place.
