As far as the fight of coronavirus is concerned in Nigeria Wike is the most proactive governor . He is very astute and defiant in dealing with the threat. He's not afraid to take harsh but fruitful decisions that would safe guard Rivers and its people.

Rivers has a 2nd Covid case, I am suspecting the 2nd case is one from one of the passengers they flew in recently.
What Oil and Gas companies should do is ensure that their essential staff are kept onsite, no rotation for the time being. That's what some are already doing, to reduce the spread, any new personnel should be quarantined.

That's a very good development. Niyi Makanjuola, the owner of the Company killed Visions Scape in Lagos, Killed LRU and still owe them months salaries despite that the money is out of Lagos purse. No place for indiscipline here.
Every states can tolerate him same way. Kudos to Gov Wike!!

Pussy Nigger of a Governor, Helicopter chatter service should be part of essential services mandated to work ... Carverton mostly service the oil and gas industry, offshore and onshore , Air Travel aint even on concurrent list

In simple terms, hurt Oil and Gas sector through logistics then you hurt the economy for a long time

.

You just took the words off my mouth.. Wike to me now seems overzealous with this stringent covid19 lockdown policy which may end up defeating the original essence for which it was enacted.. But another pertinent question to ask is if Caverton had the proper clearance to operate during this current lockdown period even as an essential oil servicing operator becos i want to believe that Bristol helicopters which shares the same fence with Caverton and is also a major oil and gas servicing operator is still operating most probably becos they have the proper clearance.. Also, most oil and gas companies have mandated their workers to stay extended periods becos of the lock down to manage the movement of people and streamline with the lockdown policy.. So there would be lots of questions for Caverton to answer..

Omo see as they cramp my captain for there oo, chiaaa...

Calm down, it's possible for those brought in from offshore facilities to be carriers of covid 19.once they're dropped at airforce base, there's no other checks as they will head straight into the heart of Port Harcourt, this move should be applauded and not politicized.

Some people have been in offshore rigs or FPSOs for over a month.
Even though they're making their dough, staying on the high seas for prolonged days is not good for their physiology and psychology.

Wike, should apply common sense.

This is an unnecessary over reach from the governor, except he wishes to state that he is above the Federal government who gave Carverton the waiver to fly for oil export activities which is the main stay of the Rivers state government! He needs to be taught that his jurisdiction as a governor does not enter the airforce base. He could have blocked the entrance from the main road and arrested all who comes and goes into the state road, not go into a federal government establishment to harass a poor pilot only carrying out order after the President has announced that the oil industry is exempt from the lock down!!
Wike need someone to teach him how to behave like a reasonable governor and stop being sentimental and biting the fingers that feeds the whole nation!

If they knew this, then a piece of the cake would have settled it. Every state should get a piece each, may be not like Lagos.

He just ruined the career of the police commisoner and commander of the air Force Base with this his overzealous action. The federal government will descend heavily on them.

If this pandemic escalates in Rivers, who will the people hold responsible, FG or Wike?
from the look of things, most of the state governors seems to be on their own in this fight because everyone is interested in protecting their own people and you don't expect less from any proactive governor.
