The leadership of the National Assembly on Tuesday faulted the Federal Government’s implementation of Social Investment Programme and asked that the programme be backed with an enabling legislation in line with global best practices.

These submissions were made when the president of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan and the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, held a meeting with the minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq and some top officials of the ministry at the National Assembly.
