5G Controversy And What The Nigerian Government Should Do. by banom(m): 9:33am On Apr 08, 2020
The latest in the media today all over the world is the "possible" link between the latest 5G technology and the current global pandemic COVID-19.
For those who are proposing the latest technology, it is the best thing happening to mankind right now ; it comes with loads of possiblities and is ten times faster than 4g network; it will transform the way we live, enhance life , sociability, and business and improve our standard of living and life style in general.
For those against the latest technology, their counter argument is that despite it's great packs and promises, it can not be at the expense of public health. According to them, the technology's high electromagnetic radiation is capable of causing many harmful health issues. And the most rational of all their claims is that some of these health issues can weaken a person's immune system which makes him highly vulnerable to many disease including the current ravaging pandemic COVID-19. And that bringing in such technology now that the world is battling the pandemic is ill timed.
Wether those who oppose the technology based on health ground are right, or those who propose it saying it's not as harmful as any other thing we already have are saying the truth, one thing that is certain is this; there are two powerful opposing technology and business cartels out there battling each other over the 5G technology, and who are capable and willing to go to any length either to make sure the technology is up and running, or that the technology is crushed.
And these two cartels knows more than we all know about the power of the technology and the origin and agenda behind the deadly Corona virus.
Perhaps whoever wins the 5G war rules the world, and perhaps the COVID-19 was intentionally created in a laboratory somewhere and spread all over the world as a pre-emtive move to be used to stop the use of the 5G technology.
Whichever be the case, the issue has trapped the Nigerian government in a kind of a dilemma. Any choice they make about the use or no use of the technology will offend the cartel at the other end of the competitive struggle who will go to any length to prove their case, and even teach us a lesson ( Nigeria market is always important to the Western people due to the fact that it is huge, and that we have homogeneous consumer behavior - everyone goes for what everyone goes for, and many other reasons like cheap labor, and tax evasion, etc ) .
So should the Nigerian government go on and allow the use of the 5G network technology, those against it can go as far as importing and spreading far and wide the deadly COVID-19 into our country and make sure there is higher number of it's cases in areas with the 5G network in other to prove their case and compel our government to stop the use of the 5G network, and on the other hand, should the Nigerian government hault the installations and use of the network now, one possibility is that the cartels who wants the 5G network up and running will equally go as far importing and spreading the virus to us and more especially to areas that don't even have a network so that they can prove to us that the network is not the cause of the spread of the virus.
So if the Nigerian government is smart and reasonable, what should they do in other not to have any of these risky scenarios?, first of all , they should immediately stop " temporarily" the installation of the 5G network anywhere in our country on the ground that we need to first study and observe it's health risks, benefits, and workability with other nations, and put in place the things necessary to make it work here. This will make us not to incure the wrath of the cartels who are against the 5G network, then, on the hand, our government should meet with those who want to install the 5G network and tell them that we appreciate the technology and look forward to having it in no distant time after we have finished studying its use in other nations, and that we are still battling the novel COVID-19 that the technology is rumored to aid, and that we can only make use of the technology if we finish battling the virus and no longer have a " single" case of the pandemic in our nation. This, too, will make the proponents of the technology not to flood our nation with the disease and will even offer to help us fight it having known that the only way we can have their technology is if we are free from the disease.
This idea will keep our nation safe and free from the power tussles of this vicious cartels. Let them go and sort out their issues by themselves and not use us as pawns and scapegoats in their global economic and power struggle.

Thank you.
