Windows 10 CD Key Soon you will be able to access your Linux files directly in the File Manager.

Microsoft had previously revealed its plans to launch a complete Linux kernel on Windows 10 and now the company plans to fully integrate Linux file access into the built-in File Explorer.

A new Linux icon will be available in the left navigation panel in File Explorer providing access to the root file system for all distributions installed on Windows 10.

The icon that will appear in the File Manager is the famous Tux the mascot of the Linux kernel. Microsoft is testing the integration of Linux File Explorer into a new build of Windows 10 (Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19603) that is available today for BETA testers.

Previously Windows 10 users had to manually navigate to a UNC path to gain access to Linux files from Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

Microsoft's Windows Subsystem for Linux is a system that the company has been gradually improving with promises of a complete Linux kernel for Windows 10.

Microsoft has also added the Bash shell integration the native OpenSSH in Windows 10 and even Ubuntu Windows 10 Pro CD Key SUSE Linux and Fedora in the Windows Store. Microsoft also launched a new Windows Terminal command line tool last year.

If you have WSL enabled Tux will appear in the File Explorer and Microsoft is seeking feedback on the integration before finalizing as part of a future Windows 10 update. The update will arrive for all Windows 10 users later this year.

In addition other updates arrive with Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19603.
