Have searched deep, into the east and south
,
Stretched my neck above the wall that demarcates us from the north,

Have scavenged through the land of the Gods,

But my reward was some cowries and two empty gourds.




Have combed through the breath and length of the desert,

I could boldly tell you the source of the Mediterranean,

Have sojourned far into the icy deep of the Antarctica,

My gains was seeing the dragon with a thousand tail in the deep of Africa.



Now am in the comfort of my home,

Preparing for another day on the road,

My latest destination is called work,

I heard that's where I would find the pot of gold.
