At a time, we were alive
Under the tree shade
Under the night sky
As we listened to stories,
Some changed us
Others, we just enjoyed.

At a time, we could see
As clear as noon
As bright as day
What it meant to be free.
The world was ours
And we were blinded to the truth.

At a time, we danced
Under the rain
Side by side with the wind
As we listened to songs
Only us could hear
Only us could understand.
