Eziachi old man who had a bad leg and fought in the biafran war. He was a regular on here for quite some time
katsumoto .. first gen of posters here
davidylan.. had a PhD I think..raving intellectual
Kosovo..historian per excellence
calabar man..registered a month or two after nairaland was created in 2005
Max sioullun..need I say more, authority on Nigerian politico-military history.. stark raving intellectual
Ademusiwa.. man with the satellite pictures..crashed nairaland server several times with the enormous pictures and files he posted on here. at a time, he and seun had running battles and seun was almost begging him at a time to stop posting. musiwa also had a comedic rivalry with naptu2. I'm convinced at this stage Ademusiwa was no comedian as touted initially. Dude has a few loose nuts upstairs.. lol..he had a thread dedicated to him by Naptu2 I think some years ago. Ademusiwa still masquerades around on this forum albeit occasionally having probably created a thousand monikers at this point.
Naptu2... Good old fella..still here on this forum. If you need to know what color of shirt babangida wore on his first anniversary, what size of shoes, number of bikes in his motorcade or any other intrinsic detail on Nigerian history.. this is the go to guy..Nairalands walking encyclopedia, Raving intellectual and fine gentleman.. if you read this naptu2, know that I love you immeasurably, no homo.
Ogugua88 .... sexkillzs girlfriend.. encouraged sexkillzs to revolt and like the battle of the angels vs God, was cast down from his exalted throne into oblivion. Ogugua deactivated too
Mukina..ahh troublesome lady
Okada man...can't find this moniker any longer. deactivated probably.. very funny fella
Stagger...Egbon mi..big boss
Kobojunkie.. Old woman..people say this moniker is Seun's alternative moniker..was gone for a few years, back now I guess
Beaf and Gbawe....long before the tribalism and Whatnots that's laced this forum, these two gentleman held the politics section spellbound with high end debates..its a crying Shame we don't see such compelling discourse in our politics section any longer. Older nairalanders will know what I'm saying.
And a whole lot too numerous to mention. Wherever you are guys, I pray life treats you all easy. You all made this forum better for all
PS: I think one of the reasons nairaland was so rich then was because most of the monikers/posters here were Nigerians in the Diaspora. Then it wasn't so easy to get data or browsing phones except you could really afford it. These Nigerians seeing a truly Nigerian forum were only too happy to contribute their varied experience seeing as it connected them to the motherland. Now kids with barely an education have taken over this forum in this era of cheap phones and cheap data. The result is what you have here today. If Sagamite is still on this forum he'd scream continuously.."You are a retardinous fu*ck*ard, product of a failed educational system"..Lol

Now I just found out something. Myself and Xynerise registered on this forum on the same day in 2009.I've never met this fellow. Coincidence much? The world is indeed strange.

Wow. Just Wow!!!! cool cool cool you have a good memory.

PS: I dont think I know up to 4 names you mentioned, which shows that you've been here for a while. I joined in 2013 and although the quality of posts on this forum then was really fading, I never knew or thought it could be as worse as it is now. But all in all, there are still some great posts to look forward to.

5 days since my return and I want to go back to forgetting that I have an account. But who knows, I'll ride the storm at least until the lock down is over. smiley

Ride the storm. These days I just skim through threads and I'm out. Don't get too immersed. You will be nauseated and probably won't return for good.

Mazi Omenuko, Ishilove ( her Nysc tales still brings tears of laughter to my eyes), Snakie97, Davidflo. Also to the others that I can't remember I pray happiness would never be a scarce commodity in your respective households.

DEIFIED:
This is 2020 and with the covid19 infection ravaging the globe, and everyone on a lockdown. I have been spending much time on Nairaland again like I was in 2011 to 2014. and I have been thinking lately about how this forum has changed a lot and the kind of topics now making front page this days.
If you have been on this forum for long, let say for as long as five years, you will agree with me this great forum is no longer what it use to be. I am not saying it no longer useful or interesting. but a lot of things have changed, like the kind of topic that use to grace the front page to the kind of monikers that we use look forward to seeing their comments on a thread.
A lot of us joined Nairaland for various reasons some for the topics they saw from Google search, for some persons it was through a friend. but after you registered something kept you here. I for example, what kept me here were the people I met at the Forum Game section then. I am not going to list their monikers here cause they are prolly much. we were like a family in that section then. I always look forward to the different discussion we use to have there at the end of working hours each day. some times we stay up till 2 am just catching fun, that's to tell you how interesting it was then.

But I also visit other sections like the sport section, politics section, literature section and romance section etc... and I knew a lot of outstanding moniker then of which many are no longer active here.

and here is the major reason why I created this thread, the monikers that I will never forget in a long time here.

1. Obinoscopy https://www.nairaland.com/obinoscopy .
This man is the most cool headed person I know here. although he was a Mod then, but you will never see him oppressing anyone even when some persons tend to misbehave. my Favourite mod.

Vivianc (RIP) .https://www.nairaland.com/vivianc
She was one of the very first few persons I knew on this forum. a humble a friendly persons she was. terrible thing she is gone.

* Onila https://www.nairaland.com/onila
she is actually what lead me to dig out some of this old popular monikers here. please Does anyone here know her where about?. this moniker right here is the most controversial moniker on this forum till date. she was damn popular and weird. with her numerous thread that was about a lot of albeit twisted stuff. if you still go through some of her thread today they will wow you.. a lot of persons believe she was a he lol. I have missed her seriously.

190 (190clown) https://www.nairaland.com/profile/190. don't be deceived by that moniker this man is nothing near a clown. a very intelligent man with interesting inputs to most front page thread then. and I think he loves women.

Sexkillz ( the most popular mod then).
Deactivated acc. This dude was one of the most popular moniker on Nairaland then. the romance section will never forget him. one thing I can really remember and appreciate him for was the miss nairaland contest he was moderating then. unfortunately he had a falling out with seun and that was the end of his reign here.

mynd44.
https://www.nairaland.com/mynd44
This one is still a mod in literature section I believe. he was mostly refered to as a tyrant.

smellymouth.
https://www.nairaland.com/smellymouth
another controversial moniker. smart dude I must say. very funny and calculative comments on our front pages then.

Idowuogbo
https://www.nairaland.com/idowuogbo
fun lover. she was also popular when the miss Nairaland competition was very hot.

Ogugua88 also hot during the miss Nairaland era. I heard sexkillz and her had a thing.

Ishilove.
https://www.nairaland.com/ishilove
if you don't know her, you have never been to the literature section then. she is like the human English dictionary. I know she is going to have head ache from reading a write up like mine. lol (quick question. is your moniker Ishi love or Is Hi love?).

HungerBad. (rip)

https://www.nairaland.com/hungerbad. I didn't really know he had a fine personality outside of Nairaland until his death. a very passionate and people person,. he was indeed a philanthropist. his moniker still rings in my head even after his death.

Elampiro.
https://www.nairaland.com/elampiro
The most criticize man in the sport section. he always have his stand to make in any topic. a very intelligent person. if you frequent the European football section you will know him.

coogar.

https://www.nairaland.com/coogar
Man of enough intellect. Go to the Rap section you will attest to this. also frequent the sport section.

lalasticlala.

https://www.nairaland.com/lalasticlala
This one is still here and popular till date. one of the most feared mod here. we all believe is the one pushing most of topic we see on the front page there.

Explores.
https://www.nairaland.com/explorers
I respect this man alot, always giving us interesting thread with adequate information you can not come by easily. and also there is always picture evidence. he is still very much in the business.

Nwaamaikpe

https://www.nairaland.com/nwaamaikpe
Currently one of the most controversial moniker on Nairaland. he doesn't give a hoot about any popular opinion. I always look forward to seeing his comments on any thread.

Ubunja

https://www.nairaland.com/ubunja.
the miseducationist.
Tormentor of the manipulative women. he is like a prophet to many guys on this forum. is you read most of his thread here you will be amaze.

Beremx .
she is a political analyst and for a lady she is trying if our women will get involve in politics like her. I think she was a heavy critic of the then Jonathan government.

Rokiatu.

she was popular in the romance and tv section. an avid fan of the vampire diaries tv series.

seun
The most secretive person you will ever come across on this platform. The only I know about him is that he loves pets.

There are several more but I have to hold it here.
so guys you can add yours.
