When we were called upon to come down to Benin in July for an N-Power programme by the Federal Government of Nigeria, we were all filled with great joy that the government has finally remembered to empower us.

It felt like our names eventually found its way into the 'book of Life'. We rejoiced and bade our families goodbye, from different locations from the southern Nigeria, we all found our way to Benin, Edo state (The heartbeat of the nation).

Our hearts beat faster as we couldn't wrap our minds around what to expect in a new location to be camped for eight weeks. We quickly began the registration process to be fully registered as a beneficiary of the N-Power programme. Some of us literally went through 'hell' before the registration was fully completed.

The normal Nigeria factor came into play but we had our focus on the bigger picture (becoming a beneficiary). Some jubilated immediately they were pronounced a beneficiary and given a tag to access all the benefits accrued to a beneficiary while others that finished their registration process late prayed to God to scale through.

We didn't go through all that process to be referred to as "half bread". No one informed us that we are lesser beneficiaries just because we are not graduates.

We attended the classes religiously and committed our hearts to that which we were taught. We envisioned a greater Nigeria with our input as creative minds as we were often
