It’s hard to think that you will stop to love the person you’re in love with right now. Maybe that’s the reason why we are in pains, because we don’t want to stop feeling loved. That reality, where someone you hoped would walk side by side with you into the unknown is no longer there. The worst times are at nights when you’re alone with your thoughts. It starts with numbness, followed by disbelief, then comes the crushing pain. Red hot it curls around your entire being till it settles right around your heart, tight and heavy at the same time and you wish you could hide away forever with your little ball of pain. It HURTS. it HURTS really bad. The hardest part is that there is no cure, no medication, no fix for what you feel. The sadness and feelings of loss wouldn’t go away and you honestly wouldn’t see a time it would.time is too slow a healer.
No one ever told you that sometimes you have to get over someone that you don’t hate, that you can’t hate, and that you feel you’re totally in love with. It is frustrating because you wouldn’t want to give someone that have walked away from you that kind of attention or affection and for some reason you just can’t let go. Yes, there are somethings in life that you may never get over and yes some people will always hold a little space in your heart, but it’s funny how everyone goes through breakup and know exactly how painful it is, they’ll tell you things like “you’ll get over it” or “you’ll meet someone cute at the party” but it’s not about meeting someone, it’s about loosing a significant part of yourself that’s never going to come back and then you’ll realize it wasn’t him you wanted or it was him to really missed but it was the feelings he brought out in you and the different sides of life he showed you that you are still attached to.
That’s change. Change is the end goal of any relationship and every relationship that doesn’t work out changes you 100% for the better. So, you’ll grow, you’ll learn and build a stronger you and prepare yourself for a much better relationship.
As much as we would like to believe that time heals all wounds, time alone doesn’t heal a broken heart if you don’t address and recognize your feelings. One thing that can help us, is to realize that these feelings do not define us. But instead they flow through us, they come and go and when we try to suppress and resist them we suffer. Don’t be so hard on yourself. if you need to cry, CRY. but know that what’s meant for you will not pass you by and what passes you by was never meant for you. never settle for something less just because you are scared to be without them. You’ll surely find the one, who will love you just the way you are and know that you are not likely to fall again that hard because now you’re more aware than you ever was. also know that you are not the only one going through this and you’ll be in a better place one day. there are just so many people struggling and finding it so hard to reach out, and it can be comforting to know that a stranger is feeling the same things as you and then you’ll forget all those times you’ve had your heart broken.
