As much as you can, don’t make it sound like writing. It’s just as good acting shouldn’t feel like acting, but living the character.

But be careful not to sound too colloquial or riddle your writing with filler words and phrases such as “like,” “um,” “you know what I mean?” “Do you understand?” etc.
