In a heated WhatsApp argument today, someone brought this up. Please read through and let's have your opinion:

This man was De Facto president of Nigeria. He was part of the cabal if not the leader who consciously or otherwise sponsor the genocide Boko Haram and the killer fulani Herdsmen perpetrate against the Christian communities in the north.
Do you want me to list the communities that have been rendered desolate or children that have been rendered orphaned or the Nigerian soldiers that are sacrificed every day in the hypocrisy of the war against Boko Haram. The count is numerous, my sister.

By virtue of his position and influence in this regime, it is his responsibility to protect lives and properties in Nigeria. How much can we day he did that. When these communities rise to defend themselves, they are arrested and sometimes killed by these fulani Boko Haram in Nigerian military uniform.

Culturally, people here(abroad') dont seem to talk ill of the dead. This does not make him a saint. There must be a reason why many Nigerians on social media are happy with his death. Try and find out.
