COVID-19: Workers Who Stays In This States, Might Not Be Getting Salary For April – See Why

Disclosing this on Saturday night via Twitter, the NIGERIA CENTRE FOR DISEASE CONTROL said a total of 166 have been recorded so far.

“Forty nine new cases of COVID-19 have been reported; 23 in lagos, 12 In FCT, 10 in Kano, 2 In Ogun, 1 In OYo, 1 In Ekiti, as at 10;40 pm 18ths April there are 542 confirmes cases of Coronavirus reported in Nigeria” It Said.

Due to low oil price in the world, some Nigeria states may face some challenges in terms of payment of workers for month of April and other subsequent months.

States government have not revealed federal allocation for the month of March 2020 and from all indications, workers in states like Osun, Ekiti, Kogi and among others with outstanding salaries issues may face difficult times.

This could be confirmed from the statement made by Atiku Bagudu, Governor of Kebbi State.

It may be difficult For workers to survive if the fears of non payments of salaries become reality, as state Government order sit at home to workers, a move to made to Curb the spread of COVID-19
