Some yet-to-be identified gunmen yesterday abducted the Pankwal Bogghom, His Royal Highness Alh Shehu Sulaiman at the early hours of yesterday in Namaram in Kanam local government council. LEADERSHIP gathered that the Pankwal Bogghom is a second class chief in the state and was kidnapped in his palace in Namaram.

The senator presenting Plateau Central, Hezekiah Dimka, in a statement made available to newsmen and signed by Shehu Kanam, his senior legislative aide, expressed displeasure over the abduction of the traditional ruler in Kanam local government area.

The senator noted that Alh. Shehu Suleiman, the Pankwal Bogghom is a man of peace and someone who always advocate for peaceful coexistence in Plateau. He said that his abduction is condemnable, given his status, age and the symbol he represent as a 2nd Class Traditional Ruler.

The statement reads that “the Senator is in touch with the family of the Pankwal, and the relevant authorities to ensure the timely release of the Paramount ruler.”



He called on the good people of Plateau Central to offer special prayers for the timely release of the monarch.
