i bought one yesterday without present anything apart from my name for the receipt from one of this roadside mtn van without any hassle. And this morning, with the above settings by Lynxnoon, i was able to connect to glo network, i tested other network too and they all work find. Therefore my modem is now an universal modem @5,500

thanks, i will try to check what is causing my not to display the network icon. Probably reinstalling the modem because i have other models already installed on my system which may be causing some kind of conflict.

Re: Mtn Modem Now Cost #5,500 Only by Kend1(m): 10:10am On Jan 22, 2011
@aguiyi There is a software that generates the unlock code if u enter the serial no into it. I can help u you for free just drop ur modem serial no.(IMEI no) and I will give u the unlock code.

PS, I also need that unlock code. This my my modem serial no:321292941887 and the model if u don't mind is MF627.
PS, I'll need the settings to connect to etisalat nd starcom.
