In Nigeria of today,the two major political parties represent the two most practice religions in the country,and we tend to vote for candidates base on this.Likewise the general election usually do justice to this .The followings are states won by each political parties in the last presidential election:
The APC,flag bearer,president Muhammadu Buhari,won 17 states out the total of 19 states with muslims as the sitting governors,except Oyo and Adamawa states,while he won 2 states out of the total of 17 states with sitting christians governors,except all the states in the SS,SE,Plateau,Benue and Taraba states.

The PDP candidate,Alhaji Atiku Abubabar,won 15 states out of the total 17 states with christians governors,except Lagos and Ekiti,while he won 2 states with sitting muslims governors,except the states in the NW,Bornu,Yobe,Gombe,Bauchi,Kogi,Kwara,Niger,Nasarawa,Ogun and Osun states

This is the most irresponsible statement to ever come out at this trying times. While need to watch his utterances!

In the south west, we don’t consider religion when voting. We vote based on who we believe is the better candidate at every election cycle. In Oyo and Ogun State for example, most Muslims voted for Seyi Makinde of PDP and Dapo Abiodun of APC respectively despite the fact that they both had Muslim oppositions.

You are still not making any sense because the last presidential election was contested between two Muslims. Christians and Muslims voted massively for Buhari and Atiku in the south west based on their assessment of each candidates capacity to lead and nothing else. Religion was never a factor in our decision.
