A potential anti viral drug for the Corona virus redmesivir,has reportedly failed in randomised clinal trials.there had been widespread hopes of this drug been a potential cure and treatment for the covid-19. A Chinese trial showed that the drug had not been successful according to drafted document been published by the WHO. out of 237 patients,some where given the drug,others a placebo.After one month,13.9% of those who took the drug had died,compared to 12.8% of those on a placebo.The trial of the drug was stopped early due to side effects. But the US firm behind the drug Gilead has disputed the Chinese and WHO claims,saying it was a mischaracterised study. |

Ezemarcel: Stop cursing on what you know nothing about. Remdesivir is not a vaccine! It's a drug meant for treatment of infected patients. Vaccines are for prevention in healthy, uninfected people, and not for treatment. Nigerians ignorantly refer to drugs for treatment as vaccines. |
