Below are some common superstitious beliefs that we must do away with if we are to progress in the country.
*An owl cry is a witchcraft attack pending:an owl is nocturnal bird thats see only at night by the day it goes blind.we need to discard the belief that when ever you hear an owl cry at night witches are after you.its wrong it's just a harmless nocturnal bird in it own habitat let it feel at peace with nature.
*A cat is demonic:many people believe that cats are easily feminised this is another baseless superstitious thought I just can fathom.a cat is a harmless domesticated feline that feeds on rats cats have no supernatural powers rather they are just pets and animals that need our love and care.
*Dogs see witches:this is another foolish and primitive idea.a dog ear is naturally adapted to hear sounds which humans can't even hear.this is due to their well developed sense organs.a dog is stimulated by it's senses and it can start barking into the sky when no one is around.this doesn't mean the dog is seeing demons.
*Demons press you when you sleep:this is another superstitious belief for those who had experienced it you feel a sense of helplessness and semi consciousness when you are sleeping hence you feel and see imaginary creatures.note this is called sleeping paralysis, it occurs when someone is hyperactive although sleeping and is trying to wake up.there is nothing demonic about it.
*Money rituals:this is another baseless superstitious thoughts that is recking havoc on Nigerians and led to so many blood shed.the issue of money rituals.it is baseless without proof.you don't make money by killing people.money is printed at the central bank and it's scare you must work to get money.they more bussinesses you own the higher the profit you make the more richer you become.dangote Jeff bezos, christiano Ronaldo didn't get rich overnight by cutting people head.we most overcome all these beliefs if we are to make progress in life.
Made people are suffering form demonic affliction:people run mad due to various reasons.drugs, depression, phycological problems etc.not every mad person is a witch.mental problem is common around the globe they are also of different types and cases.u can see a mad man talking very well and normal but he is mad.eg someone confessing, these people need to be showed care and love not been stigmatised as witches and wizards.
