Nigerian state executives have asked the federal government to relax the lockdown imposed on some states.

The governors say they want a free internal movement in all the states, excluding large gatherings.

The governors also made a stand to be included in the next presidential pronouncement on COVID-19

In a letter addressed to Mr Boss Mustapha, who is Secretary to the Government of the Federation and also the chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. The NGF requested for, the president’s approval on internal free movement in all the states, but with restrictions on large gatherings.

The NGF’s letter, which was signed by Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state, who is currently the chairman of the forum said its position was a follow up to a teleconference meeting with the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, April 20.
The NGF said it “Recalled that at the meeting it was agreed that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) articulates the issues that it would want to be included in the next presidential pronouncement on COVID-19 so as to have a uniform and coordinated policy on COVID-19 at both the national and sub-national levels.” in the country.

When Buhari finally mounts the podium on monday evening to dictate the fate of Nigerians in the coming weeks, he should spare us all the thrash he is about to spew and go directly to that paragraph that will relax or extend the lockdown.
I can't wait for 45 minutes on an empty stomach trying to decode all the bla bla bla he's vomiting.
Appearing once every two weeks to waste 45 minutes of our lives isn't bae.

Nigerians are interested in the preamble and justification for either extension or relaxation of the lockdown.

So no one is forcing you to "decode all the bla bla bla he is vomiting". At the end of the address, that one you are interested in will make the headlines, so you pick it from there. angry

Then you shouldn't be watching a football match since you can get the scores immediately after the match.
The preambles of all Buhari's speeches remain the same. Guessing the justification for the lockdown is never diificult. So las las, Nigerians are only interested in the relaxtion or extension of the lockdown, nothing more

For what it worth, this lockdown is for our own good. It is better to be safe than to be sorry. Both FG and state governments should decide what's best for Nigeria people. If everyone does, there will be no people to govern

By your analogy, goals would need to be scored at every moment in a football man as that's the equivalent of going straight to the point.

Excluding large gatherings? How do you manage gatherings in commercial buses, offices, markets and so on...they also need to define what number constitute "Large gathering".

Large gathering to me is dependent on the square meter of the floor.

What made the headlines of the dailies was that the Governors have agreed to a 14 day inter state lockdown even though they didn't indicate when it would come into play.
