The biggest problem of Africans is inferiority complex. Europeans and Americans say there is no cure for Covid-19 and other viral diseases because they have not got the cure and some of us think we must believe them. It is basic medical knowledge that any medicine which inhibits any stage in replication process of a virus would terminate its infection and cure its disease. There is a medicine called Aluminum-magnesium silicate (AMS). Literature has it that molecules of AMS are made of Nano-particles that have both positively and negatively charged ends. Covid-19 is positively charged and first stage in replication process of any virus is attachment to cells of the host. It is also an old scientific knowledge that electrostatic attraction between opposite charges would make such medicine bond onto any pathogen that is electrically charged. If AMS uses its negatively charged ends to bond onto Covid-19 would that not inhibit its attachment to cells and so terminate its infection and cure the disease? The people leading the fight against Covid- 19 in Nigeria know all these facts because in 2017, I was with Dr. Sani Aliyu and Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu on "NTA- good morning Nigerians" and explained these scientific facts to them and to all Nigerians. What Africans should do is to ensure every hospital has isolation wards for Covid-19 patients. Then there should be a law that everybody wears mask till further notice while governments improve our testing capacity. Then whoever is confirmed positive is property isolated and treated with the medicine. That is "test and isolate/ treat" (human version of test and slaughter we use in stamping out animal pandemics e.g Bird Flu). Within a short time, the incidence will so reduce that masks would be removed and we live normally again. Covid-19 is not even as serious as malaria. It is only much more rapid in spreading which masking will take care of. By adopting these measures, the pandemic would become a blessing to Nigeria because the world would come to buy our medicine.
