Heavily armed men of the Nigerian police force in Uyo whisked away public commentator, Mr George Udom at around 1:15 a.m on Monday April 27 after ransacking his home, the arrest was made on the order of Governor Udom of Akwa-Ibom State.

Udom was arrested for accusing the governor of Akwa Ibom state of playing politics with the covid-19 pandemics.

In a series of post on his facebook page, he asked the state government to stop hiding figures of people with Covid-19, he disclosed how more than 30 prominent people in the state are being shielded from quarantine and how the governor sacked the states chief entomologist for insisting on following due covid-19 test procedure.

The police whisked George Udom away to an unknown destination and he has not been released as at the time of this report.

The beauty about this politicking on corona virus by some governments is that it cant be hidden for so long......but unfortunately the time it's obvious many of them would have been overwhelmed and put others at risk cause interstate movements can't be banned in Nigeria no thanks to corrupt enforcement agencies
