Umahi unbans the use of Okada, relaxed curfew.

Cheering news was today released by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State as he lifted the ban on Okada in the state even as he relaxed curfew inline with the Federal Government of 8pm-6am.

This is even as a cross section of residents applauded the governor for his show of empathy for the people.

In his weekly media chat today, the governor assured that he has not rested on his oars on the war against the covid-19 pandemic insisting "our Isolation Centre is world class, it is the best in the entire Southeastern zone of the country.
"We have reviewed the curfew inline with the Federal Government from 8pm to 6am,
"We have lifted the ban on the use of motorcycle in the state, but still effective in the border areas.
"From 300 meters radius before the border areas, no motorcycle and other means of human transportation,

"Very soon we will start the distribution of palliatives to our people,
"We have shared over 90,000 facemasks and sanitisers to our people".
Umahi also used the briefing to release some pastors earlier arrested.

"I have ordered release of the two pastors arrested by the Anti-Corona Virus team".

Meanwhile residents, Mrs. Nkechinyere Onele, Cletus Ofoke have lauded directives, restating "I must sincerely commend the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Engr Chief Dr David Nweze Umahi for listening to the cries of the people" says Onele.
On his part, Ofoke stated " this is good, he is following the foot steps of President Buhari, he is a good man".
