The first alleged COVID-19 Index case victim in Ebonyi state , Mr Ibe Friday on Wednesday described all the stories being peddled about him testing positive to the noval  Coronavirus as falsehood. 

Recall Ebonyitvnews reported that Ebonyi state on Sunday 26th April, first recorded its case of coronavirus.

Speaking with EbonyiTvnews  on Wednesday in a telephone interview, Mr Friday Ibe, who hail from  Ukawu in Onicha Local Government Area of the state said he is a Sienna driver transporting food items from Ebonyi to distance Ondo.

Mr Ibe said he was returning to Ebonyi state, reaching to Okposi in Ohaozara local government , he met the COVID-19 task force who demanded money before granting him clearance to Ukawu, his hometown. He told them he didn't have any money to give to them which resulted to a heated argument.

Mr Ibe stated that the COVID-19 task force dragged him to Abakaliki stadium where they falsified he is positive for coronavirus.

I dont have coronavirus, if they are sincere with the result of the test, how come the other two people i carried in the vehicle tested negative despite the fact we had direct contact with each other, he queried.

I know that they will not allow me to speak further after this report, but what ever happened i want people to know that i do not have COVID-19.

Further calls placed on Mr Ibe's phone line were not returned as at Thursday evening as his number were switched off.
