In his speech, the Governor genuinely thanked the president for his benevolence towards the State of New Jersey through the supply of personal protective equipment, COVID-19 test kits, medications, the building of isolation centres for coronavirus patients and as well as physical cash transfer from the president.

Governor Murphy stated that the New Jersey wouldn’t have been able to handle the situation single-handedly if not for the help offered by the president.

Due to the financial and material support from the president, the Governor noted that the State currently has dozens of COVID-19 testing centres scattered all over the state. He stated that with that kind of resource, the state is able to capture and screen a substantial number of coronavirus cases per day.

The president in his response stated that he is solidly behind the people of New Jersey most especially during this period of coronavirus outbreak.

The president further assured the Governor of more financial help to the State of New Jersey in the coming weeks.

According to Gov. Phil Murphy, New Jersey currently has over 100,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus, and with total death of over 6,000.

New Jersey is the second most affected states with COVID-19 after the state of New York.
As the State of New Jersey and the country in general fights the war against COVID-19, more additional cases of the pandemic keep escalating daily.

The United States currently have the highest confirmed cases of coronavirus in the world. Presently there are over 1.07 million cases of COVID-19 in the US, while over 61,000 deaths have been recorded nationwide.
