Dangote Asks Staff To Calculate Lockdown As Compulsory Unpaid Leave by megawealth01: 11:38am On May 01, 2020 |
Dangote Group Of Companies owned by Nigerian Billionaire, Aliko Dangote has asked its core staff to calculate the lockdown period used at home as compulsory unpaid leave. This was leaked to this news channel by a top management staff on condition of anonymity. Our source complained bitterly on how on Earth will the reverend philanthropist allow such cruelty to pass through with or without his consent. Imagine someone who, the whole country united to enrich by way of waivers and monopoly. Imagine how our own rich men thinks? Imagine someone that enjoys the cheapest labour because of the poverty level in the country? Modern day slavery. So he could even place them on half pay? |

What I see in that letter is that everyone has already taken their annual leave for the year due to the lock down, it is only the excess days that may not be paid. Then the staff that leaked an internal memo has to be found and sacked. If he has only told the reporter what happened that would have been different but he went further to snap and send, a very serious corporate offense. That means he can also leak details to competitors. |

Well he is perfectly allowed to treat it as such. No work means no income and that means no labourer deserves a wage where he/she didn't labour. I don't expect Dangote to deep his hands into his personal earnings, no matter how big it may seem, to pay dormant hands. Everyone has his or her earnings just like Dangote. 1 Like |

After donating billions of Naira to the FGN So, the AUDIO donation was at the expense of the same staff raking in the monies If its saying the lockdown should be taken as leave, don't people get paid alongside leave bonus when on leave? I know they might want to argue that No Company allows all its staff to embark on leave at the same time but for the sake of humanity, they should be paid. Otherwise, they should equally be allowed to go on their actual leave when the time comes... Court... |
