Reno Omokri has joined the train of those reacting to the decision made by the chairman of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe on letting go of 75 percent of their workers as a result of losses the bank is currently experiencing.

In a post of his official social media page, he brought back the fact that the bank gave billions of naira to help the government to fight the novel virus, COVID-19.

He wrote "Access Bank donated billions to help government fight COVID-19. Now 75 percent of Access Bank workers face sack. In other countries, government helped private sector like Access Bank, so they don't sack workers. Our government is the problem"

SaiBaba

Our saiBaba is now too shy to govern. He is too shy to act, too shy to speak, too shy to rule, too shy to think, too shy to talk.

What his handlers do is pay 3k to illiterate graduates to defend this gross failure of a president.

I say this without mincing words "Mohammadu J Buhari is the worst President in the world".
N.B: Dont ask me what J stands for, it may or may not be jubril.. embarassed

Access bank saw this coming before donating to the government to fight Covid-19.

It's just a medium to seek for their help.

While other nations where sending money to corporations to help them our useless Buhari govt was instead forcing companies to donate to them so they could mismanage as usual and now many more people will die from the frustration of job loss than COVID could have possibly killed ... Going forward the world needs to bring together it's best brains and find the best approach to handle a pandemic because this lockdown route is total thrash akin to setting your whole head in fire because of dandruff

Wigwe and others running Access bank need to be forced to resign!

If they didn'tt have money, why did they embark on the reckless jamboree of donating billion to Federal Government? This is the most sickening part of Nigeria! In other countries, they their Federal or Central government gave stimulus checks to employers to keep their workers and survive the harsh times. In Nigeria, government demands bribes disguised as donations and ask the employers to sack their staff if they run out of money!

Just watch out how they will extort and impose unnecessary bank charges on their customers. Las las na we wey be their customers go pay back the money they donated to the federal government.
Impressing the Federal government to kill your staff not fair . .

cool

what does this fool knows about business? all his life he had worked for one politician or the other, earning free money from tax payers money..

Its a capitalist world, and first step in protecting an organization during economic ups and down is to reduce expenditure and improve on revenue generation throught sales promotions and massive sacks

they made 40bn profit last quarter and donated 1bn to the government (their number one customer) and Lagos citizen (their number 2 customer) this is nothing but sales promotion to buy in more customers through their Company civic responsibility, and they quickly prepared for the future by laying off as much redundant staffs as they could so as to prepare for future reduction in profit... besides they make money through loan repayment and intrest, and am very sure non of their debtors would pay any kobo next two month

Mikano Layed off 600 staffs
Brithish Airways layed off 12,000 staffs
Ryanair Airways 7300 staffs
Atiku's TV and Radio Sacked 70

Only Nigerian Civil Service and Political apointees keep redundant work force since they pay them from free money so even if they don't work or earn anything its nothing they still get paid

Why should the Federal Government give bailout to a bank that just declared a quarterly profit after tax of 40.9billion naira?.
Access Bank's decision to sack workers is pure greed and everything that is wrong with capitalism, the workers never get pay raises with increased profit, but only get sacked when the business runs a little loss.
