dustmalik: Exactly what I said on this forum few days ago. I'm not a fan of Buhari but we will all have ourselves to blame for this coming Tsunami. Nigeria will record over 2000 infections per day and so many deaths by June after lifting the lock down. Mrs Melinda Gates prediction will surely come to pass before DEC. If you are in Lagos please pray hard and take extra precaution. I don't understand why the federal and state Governments are not listening to the advise of the Nigerian Medical Association. Why? https://punchng.com/nma-says-easing-lockdown-premature/ 1 Like |

It is the number of mortality rate that we should be more concerned with and not number of confirmed cases, some confirmed cases may be malaria so no cause for alarm |

My people please be ready and prepare to do the necessary needful. Watch your hands, use facithough al mask and keep social distance or if possible estay indoors. Vividly, I remember February ending to early March this year when it started here in United kingdom. We thought it was joke. I and my family weevre counting. It started with 3 deaths. The next day it was 10 deaths and the third day it was 20 deaths and later it was 30 to cut the story short, Today we here in Uk are counting 27 thousand death. I mean 27000 people have died here in UK. My fellow Nairaland I love you all and even though I left Nigeria I still find time after work to check news on Naija here. Please, I beg everyone to prepare for his or her family safety. Thousands of Africans including Nigerians have lost their lives, love ones and so on here due to this Pandemic called COVID 19. Please stay safe all. 2 Likes 1 Share |

For demanding #15,000 to fight Covid 19, asking that the just imposed lockdown be relaxed, rejecting isolation center offered to him by his political allied, now foe. I will never take the number of confirmed cases, coming from Kano state serious. You see, that is how the North has messed up this country. For one state alone, look at the number of trailer loads of rice and grains sent to them, far less than what the entire Southwest received |

Sanchez01: Increased testing will always produce heightened number of cases. That's common place. As someone said above too, community spread can only be heightened by the lack of social distancing in crowded places like Kano. So, Kano didn't suddenly spike sir... Testing merely increased. Do the same across the nation, and you will get the same result... There are more carriers across the nation than NCDC will ever detect especially with their grossly limited testing. |

jasontrigga: Did you not read that 113 health workers have tested positive in Nigeria, and that was as at Tuesday? In Delta all 8 new cases reported yesterday were health workers who attended to a lady who had tested positive. Add 8 to 113, what do you get? I can tell you that in Nigeria close to 150 health workers have tested positive. How? These got theirs from private hospitals where they were managing some doubting Thomases who refused to call the NCDC because they never believed in Covid-19, because to them every ailment in Nigeria is MALARIA and TYPHOID. It is said that earthquake does not kill, it is falling buildings and structure that do. Covid-19 may not kill but for sure STUPIDITY and unwarranted DOUBT will do. Not to worry, I see that many will have to learn by experience before they believe. You drove round the hospitals and you forgot to drive to the cemeteries, unfinished job. The fuel that this virus needs to spread is just what I see here in Nigeria and that is DOUBT and STUPIDITY. Sad, very sad. . 5 Likes |
