I live in Europe and I have been virtually indoors for over 2 months.
It is a shame that there are "21st century" youths in Nigeria who still argue about this disease in Nigeria.

With a population of about 200 million people and a paltry 16,588 tests (worldometers.info/coronavirus), the title of this thread should be obvious.
Do the math. If 2,388 are positive out of 16,588, how many could be positive out of 200 million?
Mass testing, isolation, contact tracing and treatment is the only way to prevent rapid spread of the virus.
It is a shame because even Ghana has tested 113, 497 people. What exactly is Nigeria´s excuse?

The failure of the government in handling this virus is so loud that even the deaf can hear it.
Let me shock you further. It is possible that up to a million Nigerians are already infected. But this number may never be found, since no mass testing is being done. The main reason it has not gotten so ugly is the fact that Nigeria (like other African countries), have a very high young/youth population. Many of them could have the virus without symptoms, while transmitting it to others.

Finally, where are our epidemiologists? Why is no one coming out with models of how the virus may have already (or might) spread in the country?
American, German, etc experts used models to give likely trends. In fact, even before US had up to 100 cases, a number of models had shown that the virus was already spreading for weeks before the first case was discovered and they clearly stated that up to a million Americans may have been infected. Today, the US has 1, 160, 774 cases.

Pray for Nigeria!

My ppl suffer and perish for lack of knowledge.. They are more interested in spinning Bill and Melinda Gates depopulation theory and an infectious disease Bill dat has been misinterpreted and

Testing kits are not available, test centres are no where to be found, Governors and other politicians are playing politics with the Pandemic. Government agencies are handling the situation with kid gloves.
Europe and America are finding the containment very difficult despite their glaring efforts. I once said that it's possible that their are already many carriers of the virus but due to ignorance they affected persons are blaming Malaria and Typhoid as usual thile others are gulping down all manner of herbal concoctions, Agbo. Lemon grass, etc.

God save us all

Of course. When u test more, u get more patients.

Nigerians will tell u the virus is real in other countries

But the virus is not in Nigeria

I didnt know Nigeria as a country is immune to virus and infections.

If u dnt believe in the virus at all. Stop disturbing leaders in Nigeria, start focusing on leaders of top countries.

Truth is no matter how you insult our leaders despite the corruption here.

Remember every country is confused about the virus.

Fu*k that. The scientists are also confused, they tell us different contradicting things about it everyday.

Governments at all levels need to act now! Otherwise, the cost could be to high to imagine.

Mass testing, isolation, contact tracing and treatment.

There is no other way.
