One thing I noticed is that a typical Nigerian that is into business or render services tend to capitalize on situation by hiking prices of commodity and services, for instance during fuel scarcity, curfew, riot/crisis, pandemic, or sometimes even when it rains the price of transportation increases. Even in these hard times the prices of commodity and services are outrageous.

My major concern here is that most times the hike in price never return to normal or even below. What is the reason behind this please?

Its because we dont have an active consumer protection agency
