Gas isn't even really scarce. Both gas and coal are viable options though. Nigeria shouldn't have power issues. Just a heavily mismanaged country  |

The coal mines in Enugu are not even used extensively anymore I believe. It is the emphasis on oil has caused other sectors to be neglected. Nigeria is suffering from the resource curse. Our over-reliance on oil due to its profit margins, has caused other sectors to be neglected. We haven't tapped into the power of the River Niger, nor has the large natural gas reserves in the South-West been tapped into. |
