KANO GETS MOBILE MOLECULAR LAB IN ADDITION TO ITS TWO MAKING IT THREE TESTING CENTRES While on an official visit to Kano State today, DG Chikwe Ikpeazu joined the State Government in commissioning a mobile molecular lab funded by Aliko Dangote Foundation. This lab set up with 'We Are 54gene', is the 3rd #COVID19 testing lab in Kano as we expand diagnostic capacity in the state. All these labs. Scam labs! Now NCDC's daily testing quota was set at 1500 heads a day. It's been 4weeks since they made this promise. I ask myself, with only about ten thousand tests completed, where is the efficiency and result of this whole pursuit? By the way, statistically, we are the worst hit nation considering the fact that, out of about ten thousand tests carried out, about two thousand have tested positive, which makes it a 20% infection rate. |
