This is not good @ all.Even public safety is not encouraging.This is another wave of the pandemic staring us in the face.

Think out of the box,our leaders refuse to think.
That is the reason the white man always derides us as a people,some still believing today that the their brain is superior to that of the blacks.
It was obvious from day 1 that lockdown and social distancing won't work in Nigeria,mainly out of poverty and our still low level of development,in terms of infrastructure.
So what are leaders supposed to do?
Day and night they would deprive themselves of sleep, strategizing with their policy thinkers and advisers on what to do to combat this disease in our peculiar environment.
But no,they just copy the West,go to sleep and work the usual 10am-4pm.
Face mask for eg has been pretty effective in it's compliance.
Why not do the next very workable and effective thing: vigorous testing and contact tracing.
But,no,we hear lockdown and social distancing and we follow suit,then when others are easing the lockdown because their numbers are decreasing,we also largely cancel ours,despite our own numbers skyrocking!
What a farce.

Except that picture is old, those people gathered there are a very irresponsible set of people.

I know they would have to cluster to get vehicles, but they should at least try to protect themselves. A simple face mask made by the famous Obioma is been hawked at N100. If everybody in that bus terminal has one on, while wearing long sleeve clothes, trousers, and cover shoes [ or socks if u no get shoe] would go a long way to reduce spread in a place like that but no.

They would rather stick with the believe that "i'll be alright" even when the whole world is going down. "God will protect me and my own". as a result, many fail to take responsibility for anything.

Sample the opinion of those clustered in the bus terminal, and you will hear them tell you "God Forbid" "Corona is not for me" "na rich man sickness" etc.

We are at war. if you are going out, put on an "Armour" because social distancing would be very difficult to achieve.

Please proffer a solution...lets not just talk...think outside the box and give us a way forward. It is not always about our leaders always.

Facemask,testing and contact tracing.
Those are the things that would work.
Coming out today,95% of people outside are putting on a type of face covering.
This would do more than 2 years of lockdown ever can.
When you next tell people they can be tested in centres close to them,people would rush to know their status.
Once u know the people with the virus,you can vigorously trace them.You isolate them and continue the cycle.
Anyone that believes that Covid 19 would disappear,even if you lockdown or social distance from now till kingdom come,is a joker.
It's only a vaccine that can be the magic wand.
But every country, including the ones with deficit leadership can at least do those 2 things till we reach vaccine or treatment stage.

Nigerians are serving the government a dose of their mistakes.

How can the Presidency fails to observe Social Distancing and expect the populace to.
