CBI Full Form: Central Bureau of Investigation

CBI stands for Central Bureau of Investigation and it is a Government organization which comes under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pension. It is formed in 1941 as the special police, and it is lead by Director, the CBI head.

As it is one of the special and confidential organizations in India, which give it some special rights such as CBI is exempted from the provision of the Right to Information Act and this is the only department of India which can communicate with Interpol.

CBI originally formed to investigate bribery and corruption cases, including government corruption, but now it also handles organized crime, international crime, and breaching of central law cases. CIB is supposed to solve high-level cases which include high bribery, corruption, and criminal cases.
