Governor Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State has said that God will not be happy that the world is facing currently facing deadly corona virus pandemic which have seen over 3 million people infected, with over 200,000 (two hundred thousand) death across the world.

The Governor who was a guest in a Port Harcourt based radio station, Rhythm FM Viewpoint said God will never be angry that people are no longer going to the Church to worship.

He made this known while responding to a question by a caller who asked if people be allowed to go to Church to worship during the lockdown which will take effect from tomorrow, Thursday 7th May, 2020.

In his response, Gov. Wike said:
"God wouldn't be angry that we said there is a pandemic, let everyone stay in the house. God answers prayers even in your houses. Even me, I worship online."

Recall that the Governor had on Monday 3rd May, 2020 issued a lockdown order in Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor Local Government Areas of the State due to the continuous spread of the Coron Virus (COVID-19) pandemic.
