I used my ATM card to fund my neighbors Opay account about two months ago, though I told him I would come for him in the case of any fraud against my account. We both agreed to some terms before I funded the account. lo and behold, I went to withdraw some money from my bank account via the ATM today and my eyes saw my ears. At first, I thought it was a joke, but when it became clear to me that I have been duped was when I entered the bank to confirm what the issue could be, one of the customer service attendants told me that my money was shared to different accounts via the Opay link. I thanked him and left straight to my neighbors apartment. I approached him and up till now, he is still denying he didn't use my account for any shady deal. I am still confused about how to handle the issue, even though he is feigning innocence and offered to follow the matter up to any length. Should I give him a benefit of doubt or make up a case against him? He is one of my friendly neighbors.

I had such experience but mine was to use my card to pay for an online shit which it happened to save my ATM details and without my notice the same neighbour who's a family friend used up till the last penny, playing useless bets online, me no go meet am, I had to first use boys beat hell commot in life before I had to involve the police, my aim was at first take every sophisticated item in his apartment but luckily his step mom kept begging but after I brought the full detailed proof from the same GTbank which I took to the station, my money was returned without a kobo missing.

Tell him to bring out his phone, open the app, go to transactions, you will see all there, if there is a deposit, you will see it. (check my screenshot below, those marked with Top up)
Opay will require sms otp for the first time of using the card and but won't require otp for subsequent transactions on same phone and besides, you still get your sms bank alert after the transaction is done. I m wondering why you didn't see alert because bank will send you alert sms.
