Markets In Nnewi Commend Obiano For Easing Lockdown, Comply With COVID -19 Safety Measures

Traders and inhabitants of the commercial city of Nnewi have returned to their various businesses after about thirty-five days of Market closure by the Anambra State government, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
From Agbo-Edo Market, Agbo Edo United Market, to the Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers, Agbo-Edo Motor Spare Parts to New Auto Spare Parts Markets, it was messages of commendation for Governor Willie Obiano.
We also observed over ninety per cent compliance with the precautionary measures agaist COVID-19 being enforced by the Market Task Force members and traders.


At the entrance of the Markets, it was observed that the Task Force manned the gates as they direct the traders and buyers to wash their hands and make use of alcohol based hand sanitizers before they will be allowed into the Market.

They also ensured that everybody wore their facemasks before entering the Market.

The Chairman of Agbo-Edo United Market, Mr Joe Enumah, thanked the State government for re-opening the Markets and pledged total commitment to enforcing the preventive measures within the Market.
The Secretary New Auto Spare Parts Association, Mr Uche Ezechukwu, commended the traders for their positive and commendable behaviours towards the measures to curb the spread of the virus.


Earlier, the Chairman of Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers Association, Mr Chukwueloka Ubajekwe, noted that the re-opening of Markets does not mean an end to coronavirus pandemic, but just to ease the sufferings and hardship on the people.

Some traders at Fairly Used and New Motorcycles Dealers Association, Messrs Sunday Mbah, Onyebuchi Ezeh and James Igboabuchi, expressed satisfaction with the reopening of the Markets in the State by the State government.
