The owner and a few co-workers of Star Sharwama Shop in Benue state were arrested by an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

A certain EFCC operative named Hembafan Toryila ordered the of a sharwama seller in Benue state. The arrest was made over the purchase of sharwama worth N1500 and other complexity that followed.

The EFCC operative claimed to visit the sharwama shop to get a snack. However, due to the network error at that moment her electronic payment wasn't verified by the accountant.

While experiencing the network error, the lady tried to make payment for the item using her debit card. For a transaction of N1500, she was debited N1600 instead.

This erroneous act led to the whole misunderstanding perhaps the transaction was traced after the EFCC operative visited the bank.
At the point, the transaction was unsuccessful she was allowed to leave with the item with the promise to get notified upon payment confirmation.

Fortunately, a couple of minutes later, the accountant receives an alert of N1600 and she mistook it for another customer's order since hers was N1500 not N1600 as received.

The accountant called the EFCC operative several times to remind her of her payment. However, her payment was finally clarified through a bank statement which showed that the N1600 initial receipt was in her name.

The shawarma seller apologized to her as every learned business owner would do but out of frustration and anger, the EFCC operative promised to deal with her.
