Nzewi who is the Coordinator of APGA New Media Group called on sons and daughters of Umuogboo Obiofia Nnewichi and other individuals who were well-to-do individuals in Nnewi to support the poorest of the poorest in society financial and materially.

He admonished the beneficiaries to take solace in the fact that they were hale and hearty, emphasizing that many had died as result of what he described as a killer disease, urging them to endeavour to put on their face masks, wash their hands regularly, maintain social distancing, and also try as much as possible to shun crowded places or environment.

He commended the national chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye (Ozochikwadolu Amawbia) what he said, Oye had done as the helmsman of the ruling party in Anambra State.

Speaking at his Obi, the Obi of Umuogboo, Chief Ezekiel Izuchukwu prayed God to continue to guide and protect Hon. Nnanna Nzewi whom he described as one of the leading lights in the community.

Earlier, the President General of Umuogbo Obiofia Nnewichi, Mr. Ikechukwu Okafor thanked Hon. Nzewi for his large-heartedness and grassroots oriented politics, stating that they would not forget in a hurry his kind gesture, especially at this material time.

The beneficiaries numbering over one hundred joined the priest In-charge of St. Joseph's Anglican Church, Obiofia Nnewichi, Rev. Cannon Arinze Chukwunonso to pray for their benefactor, Hon. Nnanna Nzewi (Otabilionye nwanne ya).

Rev. Obika Dickson accompanied by Evangelist Christopher Chukwuemeka represented Rev. Cannon Arinze Chukwunonso at the occasion.

The sharing of the items saw St. Joseph's Anglican Church and St. Charles Catholic Church, Obiofia Nnewichi producing 25 persons each, while other denominations, community chiefs, Umuogbo community Vigilante, people with disability, non indigenes of Umuogboo community and others took part in the sharing of the largesse.

If social distancing is a must to overcome coronavirus, then we have lost the battle in advance. The awareness has not yet sunk deep into the heart of common Nigerians. Some are just observing it to fulfill all righteousness.
