Dr. Yusuf JS, Senior Pastor of Touch for Recovery Outreach International, TROI Abuja has called on bloggers, journalists and publishers of other internet content to as a matter of urgency retract a false news story which was purportedly published to tarnish, his image and the body of Christ or face legal prosecution if they fail to do so in seven days.

In a statement released on his behalf by the publicity and legal teams of the church, says the said concocted report which went viral online titled “Abuja Pastor Introduces Anointed Pant and Bra with His Pix to help Ladies attract Men” is false and describes it as the handiwork of lazy and jobless fellows.

According to the statement, the Senior Pastor, Dr. Yusuf expressed worry over the said publication when as professional bloggers and journalists, they are expected to verify the source of the story, contact the personalities involved to get their responses before going to publish says there is need to bring the perpetrators to book which will serve as a deterrent to others.

The statement warns that the perpetrators of this devilish act are given a seven days grace period from the date of this publication to apology to the church, retract their report or face legal action at the expiration of the seven days explaining the since when the said story was published, the public perception of the Senior of Pastor of the church is wrong.

The statement states that purported story is a fragment of the authors’ satanic imagination to blackmail Dr. Yusuf JS, the senior Pastor of TROI Church and to cause disaffection among members of the ministry calculated to steal, kill and destroy body of Christ stating there was never a time when the church gave into the worship of graven image that took the place of God.

It stressed that TROI believes in the doctrine of righteousness and righteous living and does not practice any act that is contrary to this doctrine wondering how the authors of this mischievous story from without a link to any of his messages stressing that Dr, Yusuf do not believe in unrighteous, unbiblical act of coming together of couples or attracting partners as the report claims.

The church says it is set to make escape of bloggers and journalists who will not adhere and retract the story and tender their reserved apology through a publication saying that this kind of journalism of blackmail, scandals and defamation of character should not be encouraged simply because one has a phone and data buddle.
