Who are the best players the former Chelsea man has played with over the course of his career?

Petr Cech (Goalkeeper)
It was a tough call leaving out Nigeria's legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, but Cech was never going to miss out here!

Mikel and the former Czech Republic shot-stopper played together between 2006 and 2015, winning multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups and the Champions League in 2012.

In addition, the pair also won the Europa League in 2013 which completed their sweep of Europe's primary and secondary club competitions.

Branislav Ivanovic (Right-back)
The powerful Serb was one of the Premier League's top defenders during Mikel's time in West London and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2010 and 2015.

'Bane', a Chelsea player from 2007 till January 2017, won several important titles in that time with the Nigeria midfielder.

Mikel is never one of the greatest players. He's just fortunate to be highly decorated as players like Mikael Silvestre and Victor Valdes who have won many trophies. Truth be told, in Chelsea history, Mikel is not even included in their 100 greatest players list.

Also in Nigeria, we will name the likes of Okala, Chukwu, Odegbami, Yekini, Okocha, Kanu, Finidi et.c as the greatest Nigerian players.

Mikel played his part excellently over the years especially at Chelsea. Over the years, African players plying their trade in Europe find it extremely hard to compete with their European counterparts even though most of these big clubs can't do without the African players.
Mikel at Chelsea did well, played to instruction. Even the great Jay Jay Okocha is a local bookie ambassador while his playmates now have coaching badge and now managing European clubs

It more than amazes me the way Nigerians overhype Mikel... at the mention of Mikel what often should crop up in ones mind is...a humble, gentlemanly, soft spoken and quiet nice guy...at least its good to see the good in people first...but its very annoying to know that this guy had the same opportunities and wherewithal like Messi...but he ended up or rather chose to kick the ball within the centre of a football field at the same club for about 10years..front, back, left, right...just like that...did he score up to 10goals at Chelsea...l remember a coach being surprised the day he scored a goal at Chelsea...there was no flavor, magic, finesse nor anything worth remembering about Mikels kick and follow football...he fell down more often than KANU to waste time or gain advantage, was often slower than a sloth...same ball possession, distribution and control that people like...jay jay, iniesta, xavi, ngolo Kante, ronaldinho, etc used in giving football fans world over indescribable soccer ecstasy and scoring goals too, more often, while at it....
