I used 'Learn Python The Hard Way' by Zed Shaw and its really good and easy to follow contrary to the title... It encourages you to learn by giving examples and plenty exercises to do.

Just search for the pdf file on google. There is Python 2 edition and the Python 3 edition so download the Python 3 edition
