My friend works in a company as a programmer let say compayA he is paid 40k with 3% a new company lets call it companyB wants him to their company with 4% and will pay him but no specific amount. His mind is no longer in companyA because he is not seeing any bright future in their business model. But sees a future with companyB but they dont have any specific amount they will pay. Which one should he choose. Anybody who has been in a similar suitation should help out please

There is a saying a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush...
This is what he would do,
* Research this so, called company B, let him engage them on how much they are willing to pay.
* 40k for a programmer is rather too small, he should have good bargaining skills.
* on the long run, he should talk to his current company about an increase I.e If his Job in the company is outstanding and can't be replaced easily.!
* * *

40000 naira for a programmer Jesus Christ of Nazareth. There's Upwork, fiverr, toptal, weworkremotely, crossover, remoteIO and a host of others. Aside even remote jobs which pay well, there are a host of jobs which come with relocation packages. Europe is seriously looking for tech talent likewise Asia with all this someone will be taking 40000. That's not even up to 150 dollars a month chei.

I am curious, what aspect of programming is your friend into. Even WordPress designers don't take that low.
