The Lagos State Government has reacted to the recently conducted public opinion on a new lockdown saying polls would not be the only measure to determine a new lockdown. The State Government gave the announcement via its Instagram handle on Thursday while replying to many Nigerians that expressed their opinion through the instituted polls. The polls which started on Tuesday, 12th May, 2020 will end on Friday 15th, 2020. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Olusina Thorpe said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration wants Lagosians to be involved in state decision making and governance. He also said that other factors would be considered before a final decision is made on imposition of a new lockdown the coming weeks. The Lagos State has made available three of its social media platforms, namely; Twitter: @followlasg, Facebook: Lagos State Government and Instagram: @lagosstategovt, for masses to express their opinions on a new lockdown. Better because majority of those in support of lock down are civil servants with nothing to loose as far as their salary is coming every month end |
