This is what WhatsApp/Telegram groups are meant for.

I still have contacts through Alumni Social Media groups with friends from University and secondary school, a few from primary school as well.

I am serious about contacting my old friends. This is no joke.

Thank you
Well, use Facebook then.

You can start what'sapp group for all your friends.

They might not have SM in your time however, more people are embracing it now.

Goodluck.

I need to have their phone numbers to start whatsApp group which I don't
Look for the number of one of them and start from there.

You will get the number of others through somebody knowing somebody.

Not all old friends from school have whatsApp group.
Moreover those of us that left school before the advent of social media, are finding it hard locating our friends.
I had finished secondary school even before mobile phones became affordable, I think Nokia 3310 was like 50-something thousand when I was in SS3.
I was almost done with my first degree before WhatsApp became popular in smartphones.

We didn't have any of these Alumni groups back when we were still students. It was only started afterwards because someone like you wanted us to all reconnect.

First, it was just a few people who still knew each other's locations and could visit and exchange numbers, and then each other person was/is added by proxy through someone already in the group who met them, or knew them personally, or ran into them somewhere.

Tracing old University friends was easier because most of us already had phone numbers you could just add up, BUT did not use smartphones capable of IM back in the day - I think I was already in year 3/4 when Blackberry phones became a thing.

Tracing secondary school and primary school buddies was made easy by Facebook - you just type the person's full name and search through the results.

Using the methods above, my secondary school Alumni social media group now has a good number of members from my set - some primary school friends are also included in this group as some of us attended the same school from primary through secondary.
My university (department) group too, a good number of us are in it.

Get-togethers are organized periodically (for my University alum), annual dinners/Christmas parties (for my secondary school alum)...most of these are organized differently in different states where there's a considerable number of residents - it has even been done once for alumni resident in the US, twice for alumni resident in Canada. UK residents are not as much.
The ONLY rule though is that whatever get-together is happening and involving any of our alumni anywhere at all in the world (including Nigeria), photos should be posted into the group for others to see and make fun of their old friends. grin

If you're really serious, start with Facebook & Instagram, NOT Nairaland.
This place is too anonymous to be looking for old friends.

Honestly, NL was my last resort, as I've checked all social media platforms looking.

Most of them females would have been married and changed surnames. So it was difficult finding them.
Once I get a contact, I'd definitely get others.

Thanks man
Lol, what of males na? cheesy

I checked Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc,, still didn't find them.

They probably are using monikers as names on social media hence the difficulty in finding the males
Okay
