Too many inaccuracies in this post:

1. Ethiopia is not the only African country to resist colonization. Liberia also did the same thing. Hence the very reason both countries remain the only two on the African continent never to have been colonised.
The difference here in both scenarios is that while Ethiopia went the path of armed resistance to resist colonization, Liberia took the more subtle part of diplomacy and negotiation in order to resist colonization.

2. The Blue Nile doesn't just run through Ethiopia. It actually has its **Source**[emphasis on the word "Source"] IN Ethiopia. In fact that source is the Lake Tana, a lake in northwestern Ethiopia. Matter of fact, Lake Tana is the largest lake in all of Ethiopia.

3. According to your post::: Italy attempted to invade Ethiopia twice but was defeated both times.

-Where did you get that from man

True: Italy invaded Ethiopia twice.

False: They[Italians] were not defeated on both occasion.

As a matter of fact, it was a 1-1 draw. Ethiopia won the First Italo-Abyssinian War[1895-1896] while Italy defeated Ethiopia in the Second Italo-Abyssinian War[1935-1936].

4. The Ethiopians were not the first to domesticate the camel. All evidence points to the Southern Arabians- and to some degree, the Somalis. The Arabs then introduced the camel to Africa around 200 AD to aid the trans-Sahara trade.

5. And NO! Ethiopia wasn't the first African country to join the League of Nations. Actually, that record belongs to Liberia. Liberia joined the League of Nations in 1920 while Ethiopia joined the League in 1923. That was a full 3 years after Liberia.

League of Nations Members:

OP, you've got to cross-check next time before posting... This is misinformation at best.

Trust me.
