Two pilots of a British passenger plane both fell asleep while the aircraft was on autopilot, according an August incident report unveiled by U.K. media Thursday. The two pilots of the British-operated Airbus A330 initially took turns napping, but then both fell asleep, according to an report documented by a British airline regulatory body and initially provided to The Sun, a British tabloid. The report states that the crew member reporting the Aug. 13 incident suggested that the fatigue experienced by the pilot was due to a lack of sleep -- 5 hours each in two nights -- caused by long hours and "insufficient opportunity to sleep."

On cruising level , u don't have much to do u fit nap small or go pee while the other pilot stay in charge , if it's 9000km on a straight line (no turning ahead) above 39000 ft cruising , the plane is safe 3 Likes |

Biodun556: Accidentally , u can see the percentage is low , not into a deep sleep. If u are into certain route on daily basis , u can find a safe part on that route . Most danfo drivers do sleep on motion , Even some Keke riders too , same with those on highways , na God just dey save person, both pilot sleeping on cruise level is even safer than that of car,lorry, danfo or Keke drivers 1 Like |

Sleeping spree! Both pilots sleeping at the same time is so risky. The part where one pilot wakes up and sees the other sleeping got me. Even with this, plane crash rarely happens. The same cannot be said of road transportation. |
