Yes bro...I get ur point.

Some people are fighting behind closed doors for the list to be altered.

But list out seem good choices. I guess Kwarra and Rivers are lobbying. Actors from those states at FEC would want things to take home for credibility.
Edo will most certainly retain it. To replace the College of Education Oshiomhole took away from near Benin City. It was to become state university of Education but lacks funds. Buildings there are being improved already so it will cost far less to resume very soon as FG CoE.

certificate wey even private primary school find it difficulty to employ them with. this is becoming outdated certificate, instead the existing colleagues should be upgraded to university standard.

Useless rulers, we can't fund the current universities and colleges yet this government and the last are building new universities and colleges. How many universities can pay their lecturers or invest in research and development?

The country needs fewer universities and colleges and more investment in factories, healthcare, primary and secondary education.

Curiously, while one of the letters indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of a College of Education to be located at Iwo in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State, Nigeria.

The second letter said President Buhari has approved the establishment of a College of Education to be located at Ila Orangun, Ila local government of Osun State.

The Ministry of Education is mad. There is already a College of Education at Ila-Oregun.

In a sane clime, there shouldn't be any confusion as to where to site the Federal College of Education in Osun state.

A former Senator who represented Osun Central during the last dispensation started the whole process of establishing the College in Osun state. His proposal Bill sought to address two problems; 1. Lack of Federal Institution in Osun Central 2. Alleviation of financial burden on the State Government.

Of all the three Senatorial Districts in Osun, only the Central District does not have any Federal Government established Higher Institution. The approved Institution can be sited at any town within the Central District. However, considering the second reason for the proposed Bill as sponsored by Prof. Olusola Adeyeye, Ila-Orangun is the most suitable location for the new FCE.

Currently, the state government runs two Colleges of Education. Whereas, it is not a news the state is struggling financially. Therefore, if the Osun state College of Education in Ila Orangun is upgraded to the new Federal College of Education, it will be a Win-Win situation to the state Government, the Federal Government and the host community. The salary burden of the workforce of OSSCE would be yanked off, the state government would be compensated for her assets while the Federal Government would spend less in kick-starting the new FCE.

Yet, if the state governor choose to stand logic on its head, then it would be his selfishness for his political correctness/benefits.

The whole brouhaha started when a town tries to use all it's arsenals; propaganda and blackmail inclusive. In fact, they bought over someone who has the hears of the governor to give credence to their agenda.

It would be a slap on the leadership of APC if the government refused to tow the path of honour, respect two of their own; Prof. Adeyeye and Chief Adebisi Akande and particularly prevent the old man from the impending embarrassment. Aside this, the state government should as a matter of fact, lobby and ensure the OSSCE Ila-Orangun is upgraded to the FCE, Ila-Orangun.

The College of Education in Ila is a glorified secondary school, it is not well funded and in fact, it was rumoured the administration of Mr. Aregbesola wanted to merge the school with the one in Ilesa. That was actually the reason Prof. Adeyeye sponsored a Bill to establish FCE in Ila-Orangun and upgrade the OSSCE. This is reduce the financial burden of the state government and allow Osun Central have a Federal Government established Higher Institution. Iwo was only trying to be clever by half. They rely on their strength in the civil service against that of Ila to hijack the FCE.

Ila is actually the best location; converting the state owned institution to Federal. The state would be richer when the salary and other emoluments of the work force is yanked off.
You will agree with me, the state is struggling financially, maintenance of two Colleges of Education is one of the reasons.

If we are to minimise cost, Ila Orangun best suited for the FCE. The college in Ila Orangun at the moment is being managed by Osun State Government. Same as the one In Ilesa, these colleges are being purely funded and it is better if one is changed to Federal College.
