Why Install A Rainwater Tank At Home? by watertanksbris: 7:45am On May 19, 2020
A little-known fact for people today is that we use more water for everyone than almost any
other country. That is not the biggest surprise, given the climate we live in. Unfortunately, there
is absolutely no reason why we should use as much drinking water as we do for things like
washing our clothes or cleaning our bathrooms. More or half of the clean water we consume or
use daily has not yet been ingested. Instead, it is used for showering, doing laundry, going
through the dishwasher, and using it to water the garden or, of course, to get rid of the toilet.
After we've seen how you use water, let's look at other benefits of installing a rainwater tank.

Water security
There is no need to use pure drinking water for these tasks! Why is rainwater not harvested to
be used for these purposes? Many have already done this. Rainwater harvesting is probably
one of the most responsible and environmentally friendly actions a family can invest in. You will
save hundreds of dollars in water and reduce the waste of our valuable resources. If we all use
rainwater for everything that does not require drinking water, then our nation's water
consumption will be cut in half.
A tank installed with the proper accessories can meet all of your water needs, making you
depend on yourself in this regard. Many choose to install the tank to obtain a reserve of water
available during the fire season. Some people in rural areas are used to using the water tank
only for all their needs.

Reducing water costs by not having to buy town water
Some people think that they should invest in expensive rainwater harvesting systems or other
equipment to start collecting rainwater. Still, the simple fact is that you can start right away by
buying a rainwater tank. Get the real image here? You can reduce your water bill by almost
40% during the hot and hot months, by merely creating rainwater tanks in your garden. These
tanks are affordable and easy to set up and will help you save a lot of money on your water bill
each month. There aren't many bills that are easy to cut by up to 40%, but your water bill is one
of them. Take action and start saving money today by creating a rain tank in your garden today.

Clean, flouride-free drinking water
You can also drink rainwater that you collect, but it is recommended to filter the water first,
especially if you live in an urban area. The water in the tanks is less salty, free of chlorine and
fluorine, and some say it tastes better. When you decide to use rainwater, you not only relieve
pressure on the water system, but you can also expect significant savings on your water usage
bill. Most of the water we use goes to cleaning clothes, car washing, and gardening. Only a
small percentage of drinking water is used, so even if you only use your collected water for
some things, you will notice a difference.

Maintaining your garden
Do you remember when you were able to wash your car, fill your pool, and water your garden
without thinking twice? The rainwater tank brings many benefits. The main reason for many

people is to overcome water restrictions. When you install a rainwater tank in your residence,
you will be able to reaccess the water to wash your car, washcloths, and even take care of your
garden. For example, livestock does not necessarily need the same quality of water as people.
Depending on where the rainwater tank is installed, it may be possible to turn it into your
livestock or use it to irrigate your crops. Regardless of your needs, harvesting rainwater is the
right choice.
Rainwater tanks are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. When buying a tank, you
must first decide where to put it. There are minimal line tanks for those with limited space and
larger round tanks for others. Even a small tank can hold a large amount of water, but try to get
as much volume as possible. Remember that a liter of water weighs one kilogram; You will need
a solid, flat surface to house the water tank.

It feels good that someone is thinking about much water consumption seriously. Undoubtedly, it is very important to start saving water counting the current world water crisis, especially drinking water.

Anyway, one thing that should be kept in mind. Persistently containing rainwater will provoke the appearance of a kind of algae lubricant inside the tank. Such algae actively reduce a tank's lifetime.

So, it is obvious that these algae should be cleaned. Potential Algaeside or some shock products are available to do this. You can check their applying method here,

Usage on a pool is demonstrated here.
