NCDC Releases Detailed COVID-19 Cumulative Report by Eborabadan(m): 2:05am On May 20, 2020
On Monday, May 18, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) released a situation report showing the number of tests conducted by the center, number of confirmed cases and deaths in each state and a total number of discharged patients.

The report which highlighted the prevalent areas on the Nigerian map indicated that Lagos State recorded the highest number with 2030 active cases, Kano state recorded a total of 695 active cases followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) which recorded 305 active cases.

The report stated that two hundred and sixteen (216) confirmed cases were reported in the last 24 hours in 15 states: Lagos (74), Katsina (33), Oyo (19), Kano (17), Edo (13), Zamfara (10), Borno (cool, Gombe (cool, Ogun (cool, Bauchi (7), Kwara (7), FCT (4), Enugu (3), Kaduna (3) and Rivers (2).

No new state recorded a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 24
hours. The total number of states including FCT that have reported at least one confirmed case in Nigeria is still 35 (34 states + FCT).
Fifty (50) cases were discharged in the last 24 hours in nine (9) states – Bauchi (14), Zamfara (11), Borno (cool, Sokoto (5), Enugu (4), Adamawa (2), Gombe (2), Kaduna (2), and Ogun (2).
Nine (9) deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in six (6) states – Bauchi (2), FCT (2), Lagos (2), Borno (1), Katsina (1) and Ogun (1).

The report further revealed that Cross River State and Kogi State are the only Nigerian states that are yet to report a positive case.
